Can the standalone smoke detector be networked?

No! The standalone model cannot be networked. To create a fire protection network, you need the wirelessly networked smoke and heat detector model.

Are ALPENLUFT smoke detectors quality tested?

There can be no compromises, especially when it comes to fire protection! ALPENLUFT smoke detectors are rigorously quality-tested. Our devices are TÜV Rheinland certified (test mark number 1111280065) and CE tested according to EU standard EN14604.

How many detectors do I need?

To begin with, you should equip all bedrooms and connecting corridors .
An alarm should be installed in every bedroom .

Install an alarm in the stairwell and on every floor of the house.

If the area to be monitored is larger than 60m² , you must install several smoke detectors.
Our wirelessly networked smoke and heat detector can be operated in both smoke and heat mode . In heat mode, high humidity is not a problem .

What happens after the 10 years of battery life?

After the 10-year battery life has expired, the smoke detector must be completely replaced by law.

How do I install a smoke detector?

Each smoke detector should be installed according to the manufacturer's instructions . As a general rule, smoke detectors should be installed on the ceiling and, if possible, in the middle of a room . In the case of networked smoke detectors, it is also important to ensure that all devices are properly connected to one another .

How do I turn the detectors on and off?

To turn the smoke detectors on and off, you must press and hold the test surface for about 10 seconds .

You can also do this with a broom handle , for example, if the detector is in an elevated position .

Sometimes the devices need a little longer than the 10 second button press described to turn on. In this case, we would ask you to hold down the test area for up to 30 seconds
